Projects

We’re busy seeding the building blocks we need for an abundant Namibia for all. Have a look at these projects below:

Our book: “Fast Forward >> The Namibia of our dreams”

A marketplace allowing local organic producers and anyone making stuff locally to trade online for free.

A wiki on ways to grow abundant food and infrastructure for households and villages alike.

A bi-annual expo on all things regenerative.

The Permaculture Club Whatsapp group and website

An experimental farm in the harsh desert of Namibia, trying to show how an abundant village can be created with little water…based on permaculture, integrated farming and organic gardening principles and methods

Projects we’re planning to launch:

Further building blocks we’re planning to launch include a social enterprise incubator, a network of physical permaculture schools acting as bioregional learning centres as well as an online permaculture school, a massive challenge to make permaculture widely known in Namibia, and we’re planning to publish our book: “The Namibia of our dreams”.

We also support the following projects:

www.29ers.africa â€“ a vibrant community of Namibian Freethinkers and Changemakers.

https://joinseeds.earth/ â€“ Seeds cryptocurrency is a digital currency designed to support and incentivize regenerative practices. Unlike traditional cryptocurrencies, Seeds focuses on creating a sustainable and thriving ecosystem by rewarding actions that contribute to environmental regeneration, social well-being, and community development. It encourages participants to engage in regenerative agriculture, renewable energy projects, and other eco-friendly initiatives. By providing financial incentives and fostering a cooperative economy, Seeds aims to build a more resilient and equitable world, aligning economic interests with the health of the planet and its inhabitants.

https://localscale.org â€“ Localscale is an innovative platform designed to promote local resilience and sustainability by empowering communities to connect, collaborate, and thrive. It focuses on fostering local economies and regenerative practices by providing tools and resources for small businesses, farmers, and community organizations. Localscale supports initiatives in regenerative agriculture, renewable energy, and circular economies, enabling communities to become more self-sufficient and environmentally responsible. By facilitating local collaboration and resource sharing, Localscale aims to build stronger, more resilient communities that can sustainably manage their resources and enhance their overall well-being.

www.olusheno.com â€“ Olusheno is a local social enterprise which finances small solar home systems and smartphones for those who otherwise would not get finance. Systems are paid off with small daily/weekly amounts which are offset by savings on Paraffin, Candles and charging the phone at the shebeen next door. This makes it possible for the disadvantaged to have bright and safe light and connect to the world!

The Power of Many Projects Working Together

At Living Earth, we take a systems approach to creating a regenerative future. Instead of focusing on a single solution, we develop multiple projects at the same time because real, lasting change doesn’t happen in isolation. Everything is linked—food production, water access, renewable energy, natural building, and community coordination all support and reinforce one another. That’s why our projects are designed to work together, creating a foundation for long-term resilience.

For example, growing food isn’t just about planting seeds; it requires fertile soil, access to water, and methods to protect crops from extreme weather. That’s why we develop projects focused on water harvesting and storage, ensuring communities can irrigate without depleting natural resources. In turn, regenerative farming improves soil health, increases biodiversity, and enhances local food security. But for farmers to succeed, they also need access to energy for food processing, storage, and transport—hence our focus on solar projects and sustainable energy solutions.

Similarly, natural building techniques are more effective when combined with energy-efficient designs and materials sourced from healthy landscapes. When people have secure, well-designed homes that stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter, they need less electricity, reducing costs and environmental impact. All of this is strengthened when communities work together, sharing knowledge, skills, and resources through better coordination and governance projects.

This is why we don’t wait to finish one project before starting another. If we focused only on food but ignored water, energy, and shelter, progress would be slow, and gaps would remain. Instead, we build multiple projects in parallel, allowing them to support and amplify each other. Each project acts as a building block, making the entire system stronger and more resilient.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the scale of global challenges, but every action matters. Whether you start by growing a small vegetable garden, installing a rainwater harvesting system, switching to solar energy, or supporting local regenerative projects, you are contributing to something bigger. The more people take small steps, the more momentum we build together.

By launching multiple projects simultaneously, we are laying the groundwork for a self-sustaining, regenerative system—one that doesn’t just address individual problems but transforms the way we live, work, and interact with nature. Every effort, big or small, helps turn this vision into reality.

Join us in supporting regenerative projects that work in harmony, ensuring that every action contributes to a thriving, resilient Namibia. Together, we are not just solving problems—we are building a new way of living.
