Expo Program 17/18 April 2026
Healthy Living. Healthy Food. For All.
The Living Earth Expo 2026 on 17/18 April 2026 at Dagbreek School is designed as a practical, participatory, people-centred experience. This year, we are intentionally reshaping the layout and flow of the event so that everything feels more connected, accessible, and alive.
Instead of spreading activities far apart, we are creating a central gathering space under one main tent, with exhibitors, demonstrations, and conversations arranged around it. The aim is simple:
To make the Expo feel like a living village, not a scattered trade fair.
NOTE: Our program is still near complete – but if any changes occur we’ll update it here immediately. This version is the current final.
Our 2026 Focus: One Centre. One Community. Shared Learning.
This year’s programme is built around a central tent hub where everyone can gather, listen, share, and participate.
Why this matters
- Stronger sense of community – People see and hear what is happening, even if they did not plan to attend a specific talk
- Higher participation – Visitors can easily move between talks, exhibitors, and demonstrations
- More interaction – Speakers and exhibitors remain accessible before and after sessions
- Shared energy – The Expo feels alive and collaborative rather than fragmented
The central tent becomes the heartbeat of the Expo.
Around it, exhibitors, demonstration areas, and interactive stations form a circle of learning and action.

What Will Happen Under the Central Tent
- Short, powerful talks from local practitioners sharing real Namibian examples
- Live interviews and conversations instead of only formal presentations
- Audience questions and participation moments so learning is interactive
- Practical demonstrations brought into the tent where possible
- Youth and school sessions that invite learners onto the stage
- Community announcements and project invitations to connect people to action
This space is not only for listening — it is for joining in.
Around the Central Hub
Surrounding the tent will be interactive zones and exhibitors arranged intentionally to keep movement natural and easy.
- Food systems demonstrations including composting, soil building, integrated growing, and small-scale production
- Water-wise design examples such as greywater reuse and harvesting concepts
- Solar and productive energy displays focused on practical application
- Natural building and design showcases showing affordable, climate-suited approaches
- Marketplace stalls offering tools, seeds, systems, and services
Because everything is closer together, visitors can easily move between a talk and a related exhibitor within minutes.
The Experience We Want to Create
- Less walking between distant zones
- More spontaneous discovery
- More shared conversations
- More collective momentum
- More visible collaboration between exhibitors
We want people to feel part of something bigger — not just attending, but belonging.
Participation is Central
This Expo is not designed for passive spectators.
- Visitors are encouraged to ask questions
- Exhibitors are encouraged to demonstrate, not just display
- Speakers are encouraged to interact, not lecture
- Children and youth are encouraged to participate actively
- Communities are encouraged to share their stories and lessons
The central tent makes this possible. It becomes a shared platform rather than a distant stage.
After the Expo
The programme is designed to move people from inspiration to action.
- Clear next steps for home and village projects
- Connections to local groups and networks
- Opportunities to join ongoing initiatives
- Practical tools and suppliers available on-site
- Living Earth Expo 2026 is about building a regenerative Namibia through practical collaboration.
This year, the physical design of the Expo reflects that vision:
Closer together. More connected. Stronger as one community.
