NAFSAN at the Living Earth Expo: Growing a Healthier Namibia Together!

If you care about good food, better nutrition, and a healthier Namibia, then you need to check out NAFSAN (the Nutrition and Food Security Alliance of Namibia). These guys are all about tackling malnutrition, improving food security, and making sure every Namibian has access to the knowledge and resources needed to eat well.

NAFSAN has done some incredible work, like their Urban Gardening and Nutrition project, where they helped people in Windhoek’s informal settlements grow their own food and learn about better nutrition. They even made a short film about it!

And now, they’re bringing their energy and expertise to the Living Earth Expo 2025! This two-day event on April 25-26 is all about sustainable living, from organic farming to permaculture, eco-friendly businesses, and everything in between. There’ll be talks, workshops, a farmer’s market, and even fun activities for kids.

NAFSAN will be there to share practical, hands-on knowledge about growing food in urban spaces, making better nutrition choices, and how we can all play a role in making Namibia’s food system more sustainable. Whether you’re an experienced grower, a total beginner, or just curious about what’s possible, their sessions will be packed with useful insights.

This is the perfect opportunity to meet the NAFSAN team, ask questions, and get inspired. If you want to grow healthier food, improve your diet, or be part of the food security movement in Namibia, don’t miss their presence at the Expo!
